Macedonia Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Mrs. Dorothy F. Loftus, an alumna of Calvin who for many years has worked in children and family services. Her concerns for education are undergirded by her faith in God and the power of education to create justice and racial equity among people.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• come from a school or community with limited college-going resources
• United States citizen
• financial need is considered

If all of the requirements listed above are met the following criteria will be applied

• first preference will be given to students from the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cape May, New Jersey
• second preference will be to students from another church in the Cape May area
• third preference will be to students from the East Coast

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
