Dale and Ila Wiersma Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Dr. Dale and Ila Wiersma. Dale has worked in the West Michigan area as a physician and Ila has previously worked as a nurse. Through the years, they have experienced the blessing of God as they practiced in the field of medicine. Out of gratitude, they are providing a scholarship opportunity for students from Michigan.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• has overcome educational, social, or economic barriers in pursuit of higher education
• financial need is required
• first preference is for a student who is a resident of Michigan

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student continues to make satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
