John and Etta VanRandwyk Scholarship

Muskegon Christian, Western Michigan Christian High School, and Calvin College were significant in the lives of John and Etta VanRandwyk and their family. They believed in the value of higher education, especially a Christian based liberal arts education where students learn to articulate their values and engage culture from a Christian perspective in whatever career path they have chosen. The desire is for this scholarship to provide support to students who are graduates of Western Michigan Christian High School in Muskegon, MI, who express a passion to engage the world from a Christian perspective.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher
• graduate of Western Michigan Christian High School in Muskegon, MI
• demonstrate a desire to use their education to influence the world from a Christian perspective
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the scholarship criteria continues to be met (sophomore year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
