McQueen Data Science Scholarship

The McQueen Data Science Scholarship was established by Carl and Katie McQueen to nurture the next generation of data science professionals who embody a strong ethical framework. Originally a non-traditional student, Carl McQueen discovered his fervor for data while employed at a prominent brokerage firm. His career journey led him to apply data science in non-profit and for-profit sectors committed to meaningful causes. Recognizing the powerful influence of a Christian education in ethical data practice, Carl and Katie offer this scholarship to students who share a similar vision. The ideal candidate should be committed to employing data science skills that align with Christian values of empathy and love for one’s neighbor. Recipients are also invited to interview for an internship position at McQueen Analytics, providing them with hands-on experience and industry insights.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore, junior or senior year
• majoring in data science
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student makes satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
