Gabrielse Scholarship

Gerald Gabrielse and his wife Ellen established this scholarship to encourage outstanding physics students to attend Calvin. Gabrielse is the Leverett Professor of Physics at Harvard University and past chair of the Harvard Physics Department. He has received numerous awards for his work. Gabrielse also received Calvin’s Distinguished Alumni Award and has served on Calvin’s Board of Trustees.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
• planning to major in physics
• financial need is not required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
