Stan Hiemenga Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Judy Hiemenga to honor her late husband, Stan Hiemenga. Stan loved Calvin College with all the opportunities it offered him. He loved the Christian atmosphere, the camaraderie with Christian friends both old and new. He loved the opportunity to study business in a Christian atmosphere and with a Christian perspective. And he loved cross country and track and field. This scholarship will provide a student with an opportunity to discover some of the joy Stan experienced during his years at Calvin College.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the scholarship criteria continues to be met. This automatic renewability will continue if the recipient pursues a master’s program at Calvin University. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
