Dr. and Mrs. Bernard Meeuwsen Medical Scholarship

Dr. Bernard and Mrs. Louise Meeuwsen of Grand Rapids, MI, established this scholarship out of gratitude for what God has done for their family and in appreciation of what Calvin has meant to their family. Dr. Meeuwsen is a medical doctor and a 1939 pre-med graduate from Calvin. A number of the Meeuwsens’ children have also graduated from Calvin and are serving in the medical field.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore, junior, or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher
• pursuing a pre-med or nursing program
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
