Bernard and Louise Meeuwsen

Dr. Bernard and Mrs. Louise Meeuwsen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, establish this scholarship out of gratitude to God for what he has done and is doing for members of their family, and in appreciation for what Calvin College has meant and means to their family. Dr. Meeuwsen is a medical doctor and a 1939 pre-med graduate from Calvin; Mrs. Meeuwsen is a Registered Nurse and a 1941 graduate of the Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing; David Frens, son-in-law of the Meeuwsen’s, is a medical doctor and a 1966 graduate from Calvin in the pre-med program; Sheila Meeuwsen Frens, the Meeuwsen’s daughter, is a Registered Nurse and a graduate of Calvin and the Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing; and Tarah Meeuwsen, a granddaughter of the Meeuwsen’s, is currently in her second year at Calvin and is pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
