Judith DeJong Clousing Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family of Ms. Judith Rae DeJong Clousing who developed blindness and epileptic-type seizures at the early age of seven. This scholarship is a memorial to her life testimony of the power and sufficiency of God’s grace in her life.
Basic criteria:
- entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year (transfers may also apply)
- cumulative high school GPA of 2.50 or higher for incoming students; cumulative university GPA of 2.00 or higher if a transfer or current Calvin student
- permanently physically disabled as defined by the Michigan Rehabilitation Services or a licensed physician
- first consideration will be given to students who are visually impaired. If no such candidates apply, other candidates will be considered.
- be a worth student enrolled in a degree-granting program
- using (or planning to use) the services provided by the Office of Services to Students with Disabilities
- financial need is considered
Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
