William and Janice (Roosma) Van Dyke Scholarship

Janice (Roosma) Van Dyke, a graduate of Lynden Christian High School in Lynden, WA, established this scholarship in memory of her late husband, William, who passed away of cancer in 1993 at the age of 45. Mrs. Van Dyke believes that the Lord led her to attend Calvin and she is grateful for the blessings she received while at Calvin and in subsequent years. This scholarship is intended to contribute to the enrollment of other students who, like herself, need some encouragement and resources.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year
• high school cumulative GPA at Lynden Christian of 2.70 or higher for prospective students; cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher for current Calvin students
• senior or graduate of Lynden Christian High School in Lynden, WA
• candidates are not expected to be at the top of their class, though they may be
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher (three years only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
