Marti and Wayne Huizenga Family Scholarship

Wayne Huizenga was a student at Calvin during the 1950’s. Throughout a long and successful career in building entrepreneurial business organizations, he and his wife, Marti, have maintained a strong interest in young people and have supported their educational efforts. The Huizenga family has been especially active in philanthropic and charitable efforts throughout south Florida for many years. Because of these interests, this scholarship was established to assist students from south Florida to attend Calvin.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
• preference will be given to students from south Florida with second preference given to students from anywhere in Florida
• demonstrate exceptional promise and leadership potential
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
