Theodore J. Peters Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the late Mr. Theodore J. Peters to assist students from a number of West Michigan Christian high schools. Mr. Peters was an alumnus of Calvin and was a prominent businessman in the Grand Rapids area throughout his life. Mr. Peters knew first hand the value of his Calvin experience and acted to make it possible for many outstanding students to follow in his footsteps.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• must meet the admission requirements at Calvin University and have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.50 or higher, or an ACT composite score of 25 or higher (1200+ SAT), or rank in the top 20% of his/her class
• attended one of the following high schools: Calvin Christian in Grandville, MI, Grand Rapids Christian, Holland Christian, Kalamazoo Christian, South Christian in Byron Center, MI, Unity Christian in Hudsonville, MI, or Western Michigan Christian in Muskegon, MI
• best all-around student in the class in terms of academic achievement, leadership, Christian character, and participation in extracurricular activities not including athletics

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
