Theodore J. Peters

A scholarship fund has been established by Mr. Theodore J. Peters of Lamont, Michigan, the income from which is to be used to provide scholarships to students from West Michigan Christian High Schools to attend Calvin College. Mr. Peters was an alumnus of Calvin College, having completed a 3-year pre-law program in 1926, and was a prominent businessman in the Grand Rapids area throughout his life. He was founder and owner of the State Distributing Co. from 1930 to 1955 and also organized and was president of the First Kent Realty Co. Mr. Peters knew first hand the value of his Calvin experience and acted to make it possible for many outstanding students to follow in his footsteps.
