Huntington National Bank Scholarship

A simple advertisement printed in a Columbus, Ohio newspaper on January 3, 1866 announced the start of a long and distinguished story in American banking. Pelatiah Webster (P.W.) Huntington opened the doors to his new venture with a principled approach to banking and vision for his new home – Columbus. The Huntington National Bank he founded 134 years ago still bears his name, as well as his commitment to sound banking and a vital community. This scholarship was established by Huntington National Bank.

Basic criteria:

  • entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year
  • cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • enrolled as a degree-seeking student during the time the scholarship is being used
  • preference will be given to needy students who are not receiving one of Calvin’s academic scholarships
  • preference will be given to first year students from the state of Michigan, one of the market areas served by The Huntington National Bank
  • financial need is required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
