Berkowitz Scholarship

The late Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Berkowitz, founders and owners of Rogers Department Stores in Wyoming, MI, established this scholarship in gratitude for all that God had given them. It was their philosophy that helping others is not only a duty, but also a privilege. This philosophy led them to provide scholarships to students with disabilities.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year (transfers may apply)
• have a physical handicap or learning disability as determined by a physician or licensed psychologist
• using (or planning to use) the services provided by Disability Services
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
