Honorable John Feikens Memorial Pre-Law Scholarship

This scholarship was established in honor of U.S. District Court Judge John Feikens and his long and distinguished career as an exemplary Christian lawyer and judge. Judge Feikens, a 1939 graduate, was honored in 1972 as a distinguished alumnus of Calvin College. The endowment for this scholarship was funded by the family and estate of the judge, by President Emeritus Gaylen Byker and other former law clerks, and by friends of the judge.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
• pursuing a pre-law program or a degree in political science with the intent of attending law school
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
