Herbert and Doris Vander Mey Scholarship

Mr. Herbert and Mrs. Doris Vander Mey are long-time residents of Grand Rapids, MI. Herbert served in management and executive capacities with the Michigan Wheel Corporation from 1944 to 1986. Partially because of Mr. Vander Mey’s long tenure in corporate management, the Vander Meys have a keen interest in promoting creative approaches to meeting management needs in a changing global society with an increasingly worldwide and free market.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• planning to pursue a career in business
• demonstrate the potential to use creative approaches in addressing the management and economic needs of a changing global society
• financial need is not required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
