Carol and James Lont Scholarship for the Research, Study and Renewal of Distinctively Reformed Youth Development

Carol and James Lont were nurtured in the institutions of the Reformed faith – homes, schools, and churches. It has been the desire of Carol and Jim that young people everywhere might know the personal joy and effectiveness in society of those marked by sturdy Reformed thinking and action. This scholarship is designed to assist in the understanding and renewal of a Biblically Reformed development of youth everywhere—so that they may become well-prepared servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, serving Him gratefully, always, and everywhere in His world.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of youth ministry as it is commonly practiced today?2. What would you recommend to churches today in terms of "best practices" for youth ministry? Given that you will be involved in youth ministry full-time in the very near future, describe the ideal youth ministry for a local church.
