Raymond and Florence Van Heuvelen Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Mary Van Heuvelen to honor her parents, Raymond and Florence Van Heuvelen, with gratitude for their strong Christian values and commitment to provide a Christian and academically excellent education for their five children at the Holland Christian Schools, Holland, MI. Mary drew her inspiration to provide this scholarship by reading the numerous stories in the Spark of Calvin alumni being well equipped for their callings. This scholarship is designed to encourage students in the medical or scientific fields.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• pursuing a pre-medical/medical research program or majoring in one of the sciences
• demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to academic work and/or research in the sciences
• first preference is given to a graduate of Holland Christian High School in Holland, MI
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the scholarship criteria continues to be met. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
