Gladys Palmbos Van Til and Frank Van Til Scholarship

Gladys Palmbos Van Til and Frank Van Til established this scholarship to encourage sophomores who need additional financial support to continue their studies at Calvin past their first year. It is the Van Tils’ hope that this scholarship will encourage first-generation students and help them to continue their education beyond their first year and on to completion. They also hope to encourage students from the Illiana area, since that is where they live and raised their family.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore year
• cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher
• first preference is given for a student from the Illiana (Indiana) region. Preference will also be given to a first generation college student.
• financial need is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
