Vernon and Johanna Ehlers

This scholarship is established by Dr. and Mrs. Vernon and Johanna Ehlers of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Ehlers was a professor of physics at Calvin for many years until he was elected to the state legislature in 1983. After serving as a state representative and then as a state senator, he was elected to the United States Congress in 1994.

Dr. and Mrs. Ehlers have established this scholarship out of gratitude for the blessings received from God, and especially for the blessing of quality Christian education received by the members of the Ehlers family.
