Larry and Marilyn Visser Family
Christian education has always been of utmost importance for the Marilyn and Larry Visser family. Marilyn spent nearly all of her career as a teacher and administrator at Northern Michigan Christian School (NMCS) in McBain, Michigan, where excellence in education is complemented with a strong emphasis on learning from a Reformed Christian perspective. The couple’s children also attended NMCS and were very well prepared to attend Calvin College, the alma mater of their parents. Along with academic excellence, Calvin professors provided both generations with an educational experience deeply rooted in the faith and consistent with the Reformed Christian worldview the family continually strives to reflect. The family gives thanks to God that Calvin College prepared its members for a life of service and stewardship in God’s Kingdom. It is the family’s desire to encourage graduates of Northern Michigan Christian School to attend Calvin College.
