Benjamin H. Van Andel Scholarship

Benjamin Van Andel graduated from Calvin in 1951 with a degree in business administration. After spending three years in the business world, Mr. Van Andel decided to pursue a career in education and entered the field of teaching in 1955. Mr. Van Andel spent the next 36 years of his life teaching. In gratitude for his Calvin education, Mr. Van Andel established this scholarship to give other young men and women the same opportunity of an excellent, Christ-centered education that he experienced.

Basic criteria:

  • entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year
  • cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher
  • pursuing any undergraduate degree
  • financial need is required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not automatically renewable. You must re-apply to be considered.
