Jeannette and Menno Wolters Family Scholarship

Alexander and Lavonne Wolters Dragt established this scholarship in memory of Jeannette and Menno Wolters. After Menno’s early death, Jeannette finished her teaching degree at Calvin while at the same time teaching full time and maintaining a home for her two children and elderly father. She had a quick and questioning mind, and enjoyed watching her pupils develop similar skills.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• planning to major in elementary education
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
