Harold and Judy Hiemstra Family Scholarship

The family of Harold and Judy Hiemstra established this scholarship to honor their parents’ commitment to Christian education and their love of Calvin College. Harold attended Calvin College and Seminary and their four children were blessed to graduate from Calvin. They desire to encourage and support students who plan to use their gifts to bless others in a career in Christian/special education.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• pursuing a program in education
• resident from outside the state of Michigan
• financial need is not required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student maintains satisfactory academic progress and continues to pursue a program in education. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
