Roger, Mary, and Jill Bouwma Scholarship

Roger and his daughter, Jill, established this scholarship to honor the life and legacy of Mary Bouwma. Rooted in the family’s deep faith in Christ, this scholarship supports Calvin social work students who seek to live out Christ’s call to pursue justice, show compassion, and serve marginalized communities. Through this award, the Bouwma family hopes to empower future social workers whose lives reflect Mary’s Christlike love, strength, and care for others.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• majoring in social work
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the student continues to make satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
