Jacob and Ruth Reedyk Scholarship

Jacob and Ruth Reedyk were lifelong CRC (Christian Reformed Church) members and valued Calvin University. Their daughter, Lorraine (Reedyk) Valk and four grandchildren all attended Calvin. The Reedyks are funding this scholarship through an estate gift along with Lorraine and her husband, Jim, and hope to support a student majoring in the medical field who is interested in going into medical missions.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore, junior, or senior year
• pursuing a medical major
• financial need is considered
• preference is for students who indicate and are interested in participating in medical missions

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
