Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship

Jeremy and Michelle Louters established this scholarship to help Calvin attract and retain African American students. They want to celebrate black excellence by helping to increase Calvin’ „¢s diversity and drive more equitable outcomes within higher education. Jeremy and Michelle wish to support an African American student that has had a positive impact in their community through school, church, extracurricular activities, or community involvement.

Basic criteria:

• entering their first year
• African American
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable for one year if the student continues to make satisfactory academic progress (sophomore year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
