Epistemic Humility Scholarship

This award supports philosophy students who see wisdom as a practice of humility and responsibility—both foundational to mental well-being. In a polarized world, philosophy can foster the patience to question assumptions and engage others with grace. Beyond academic pursuits, this scholarship uplifts individuals committed to meeting the world with openness, discernment, curiosity, and a bold commitment to maintaining dialogue.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• majoring in philosophy
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
