RCB Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Roger C. Bruins who received his engineering degree through Calvin and the University of Michigan along with a degree in business. He used these degrees in his own career and in mentoring many others in their profession and in their spiritual growth. This scholarship gives financial assistance and encouragement to Calvin students studying in the field of engineering. The Bruins family has been lifelong supporters of Christian education at many levels and wishes to share their blessings with students who demonstrate a Christian character and concern for others through their active involvement in church and community.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• minimum GPA of 2.50
• majoring in engineering
• financial need as defined by government programs is required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
