Anthony and Linnea Minnema History Scholarship

Anthony ’05 and Linnea Minnema ’06 are proud alumni of the Calvin University history program. Both benefited professionally and personally from the instruction and mentorship offered by so many of the faculty members of this department. In honor of these faculty members and their contribution to students and alumni, the Minnemas established this scholarship for future students to have this same experience.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore or junior year
• majoring in history; if no history majors are eligible in a given year, students majoring in social studies education with a history concentration, or history minors, may be considered
• preference will be given to students who are enrolled in or have completed History 294, or the current gateway course offered to majors
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must continue to make satisfactory academic progress and remain in one of the specified majors or minors. Students must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
