Mark and Susan Van Zanten Scholarship

Wayne Dornbush has seen the blessings of Christian education for himself, his children and grandchildren. As a faithful supporter of The Potter’s House School and Calvin University, and in honor of one of the school’s founders and current teacher, Mark VanZanten and Mark’s wife Sue VanZanten, Wayne desires to establish this award at Calvin University.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• graduate of Potter’s House Christian High School in Grand Rapids, MI. If there are no eligible recipients from Potter’s House Christian High school, recipients from Grand Rapids Christian High School, Grand Rapids, MI, may be considered.
• first preference will be given to students whose parents did not attend college
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
