KnightLife Scholarship

As students, Randy Martinie, ’85 and Cindy (Sluiter) Martinie, ’86 joyfully experienced the intentional Christian community at Calvin College. As parents of two Calvin students, they recognize and appreciate the tremendous value of this unique spiritual and learning environment and have a desire to honor the staff of residence life and encourage students to participate in residence life activities through this scholarship. This scholarship will be given to a student who has demonstrated godly character and leadership skills during their first year at Calvin and has a desire to remain involved as a leader in residence life activities during their sophomore year.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore year
• demonstrate leadership in on-campus activities such as Residence Life, Spiritual Formation or student organizations, with the intention of remaining active in these areas during his/her sophomore year
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
