Bruce and Sharon Vrieland Family Engineering Scholarship

Sharon Vrieland established this scholarship as a memorial in memory of her husband Bruce Calvin Vrieland. The Vrieland’s have celebrated five generations of Calvin graduates. Bruce, Bruce’s mother and brothers, Sharon, Sharon’s grandmother, and their son Jeffrey Marc Vrieland have all attended Calvin. Sharon’s grandson AJ Vrieland is currently a Calvin University senior. Sharon wants to provide an opportunity for another student to attend Calvin.

Basic criteria:

• entering sophomore, junior, or senior year
• majoring in engineering
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
