Wesley and Shirley J. Haan Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Wes and Shirley Haan because of their interest and commitment to Christian education. It is their desire that the recipients of this scholarship leave their academic years and venture into communities and churches as committed leaders in the Reformed tradition.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• graduate of Unity Christian High School, Hudsonville, MI, Northern Michigan Christian High School, McBain, MI or Whitinsville Christian High School, Whitinsville, MA. If no candidates from these schools meet the criteria, other applicants may be considered.
• demonstrate Christian character, promise of growth, and participation and leadership in activities outside the classroom such as church, community, and extra-curricular school activities
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is renewable if the student maintains a GPA of 3.00 or higher or if the student continues to make satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
