William and Gloria Katt Scholarship

William and Gloria Katt established this scholarship to encourage young people from the Milwaukee, WI, area to attend Calvin University. Both Bill, who served on the Board of Trustees, and Gloria graduated from Calvin, as well as many of their family members. Their hope is to provide opportunities for students from Wisconsin to obtain the same quality Christian liberal arts education that their family received.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher
• first preference will be given to members of a Milwaukee, WI, area Christian Reformed Church. If no candidates meet the first preference then the second preference will be to students who are a member of any Wisconsin Christian Reformed Church.
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the recipient is making satisfactory academic progress (sophomore year only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
