Lynn and Bas Vanderzalm Scholarship
Lynn and Bas Vanderzalm established this scholarship with gratitude to God for His grace and blessing and to Calvin University for its impact on their lives. After graduating from Calvin, Lynn taught high school English at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA), where she was among the first of many Calvin graduates who have taught and served at LCA over the years. A first-generation immigrant, Bas found Calvin to be a place of growth and encouragement for someone trying to find his faith and identity in his adopted country. Lynn and Bas trust and pray that the Lord will use this scholarship to help Calvin students who reflect the people they have been privileged to serve in God’s name over the years.
