Dr. Paul and Mrs. Tami VanVeldhuisen Public Health Scholarship

Dr. Paul and Tami VanVeldhuisen established this scholarship to support a student who feels Christ’s calling to use her or his gifts to serve others in a public health profession. Dr. Paul VanVeldhuisen has spent his career working to advance public health through research. Both Paul and his wife Tami, as well as several family members, attended Calvin University and value the education they received, and are passionate about its mission and want to support the public health program and its students through this scholarship.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• majoring in public health
• financial need as defined by government programs is not required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
