Edward E. Ericson, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The family of Edward E. Ericson, Jr. established this scholarship to honor his 26 years of service at Calvin College as professor of literature. Ed was known as “a lover of literature, master teacher, consummate storyteller, eminent scholar, dauntless administrator and stalwart friend.” This scholarship will provide opportunities for international students facing economic challenges to attend Calvin University.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• international student
• from a non-missionary family
• financial need is required
• first preference will be given to a student who is from a politically oppressed country

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable if the recipient continues to make satisfactory academic progress. Renewal is subject to funding availability.
