David M. Ondersma Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the David M. Ondersma family to recognize the value received by the family from their education at Calvin College. They appreciate the academically excellent education they received in a Christian environment. Understanding that college costs continue to escalate, this scholarship is their grateful way of helping to extend this college opportunity to others.

Basic criteria:

• entering freshman year
• cumulative high school GPA of 3.00 or higher
• member of the Protestant Reformed church
• two new recipients will be selected each year: one recipient will be a senior at Covenant Christian High School in Grand Rapids, MI; a second recipient will be a member of the Protestant Reformed denomination who did not necessarily attend Covenant Christian High School
• if all of the requirements are met, the following shall also be considered: 1) Christian character, promise of growth, and participation and leadership in activities outside the classroom such as church, community, and extra-curricular school activities 2) financial need

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (three years only). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
