Kenneth J. Van Spronsen Memorial First-Year Scholarship for Ripon Christian Graduates

Robert and Joan Hoogewind Van Spronsen established this scholarship in memory of their son, Kenneth, a graduate of Ripon Christian High School and a 1989 graduate of Calvin College, who was killed in a car accident on October 21, 1992.

Basic criteria:

  • entering freshman year
  • cumulative high school GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • graduate of Ripon Christian High School in Ripon, CA
  • demonstrate Christian character and leadership in church and school activities, other than athletics
  • financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable, though students will be equally considered for the Kenneth J. Spronsen Memorial Upper Class Scholarship
