Kenneth J. Van Spronsen Memorial Upper Class Scholarship for Ripon Christian Graduates

Robert and Joan Hoogewind Van Spronsen established this scholarship in memory of their son, Kenneth, a graduate of Ripon Christian High School and a 1989 graduate of Calvin College, who was suddenly killed in a car accident on October 21, 1992.

Basic criteria:

  • entering sophomore, junior, or senior year (transfers may apply)
  • cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher
  • graduate of Ripon Christian High School in Ripon, CA
  • demonstrate Christian character and leadership in church and school activities other than athletics
  • financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is automatically renewable for up to two years (the recipient’s junior and senior years). Renewal is subject to funding availability.
