Peter and Esther Westra Family Scholarship

Christian education is an ongoing process of preparing and equipping students to effectively serve Christ. The Peter and Esther family established this scholarship to partner with students from Kalamazoo Christian High School who wish to continue their education at Calvin University.

Basic criteria:

  • entering freshman year
  • cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher
  • graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School in Kalamazoo, MI
  • financial need is considered
  • if there are no candidates from Kalamazoo Christian High School in a given year, scholarships will be awarded to students from other schools in the Kalamazoo area, and if there are no candidates from other schools in the Kalamazoo area, then recipients will be selected from other Christian high schools in west Michigan.

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
