Holtvluwer Family Scholarship

This award was established by a gracious bequest from the estate of Mr. Henry and Mrs. Nellie Holtvluwer. Mr. Holtvluwer was the first chairman of the Calvin Oratorio Society and the scholarship was originally designed to support music majors at Calvin. Through the years, the family also made significant contributions to the fields of engineering and education, and it is their desire to provide support to students pursuing careers in those areas.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• pursuing a degree in engineering or education
• financial need is considered
• preference will be given to students who are not receiving other named scholarships

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
