Cheryl and Bernard Feenstra Nursing Scholarship

Christian nurses are especially needed in today’s world and Calvin educates bright, caring students for this mission. Cheryl Feenstra was a nursing faculty member for many years and knows that a Calvin nursing graduate thinks deeply, acts justly, and lives wholeheartedly as Christ’s agent of renewal in the world. As God has blessed them, Cheryl and her husband Bernard wish to bless a future nurse through this scholarship.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher
• majoring in nursing and admitted into the nursing program
• demonstrate an interest in working in community health or maternity nursing
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
