Shelby Beagle Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established through a generous gift from the estate of Shelby Beagle. Shelby was a woman of unwavering faith, who channeled her love for God into a career marked by diligence and commitment. As the third of five children, she exemplified a strong work ethic instilled in her upbringing. Through her years at the Holland Furnace Company (purchased by the Lear Siegler Company) and later with Gentex Corporation, Shelby demonstrated a passion for service and a dedication to prudent stewardship of her resources. While she never married or raised her own children, she was always attentive to her many nieces and nephews. Shelby made sure to use any opportunity that she had to reinforce her values and generosity through her time and gifts. This scholarship, rooted in Shelby’s love for God and the Christian Reformed Church, aims to support students in their pursuit of higher education, echoing her aspiration to nurture future generations as Christ’s agents of renewal. Recipients of this scholarship are encouraged to embrace their academic journey with a profound sense of purpose and commitment to Christian service.
