Bradley C. Miller Scholarship

Bradley C. Miller, Calvin class of 1986, graduated with an economics/mathematics major. One of his main motivations to attend Calvin was a desire to integrate his faith with the promotion of economic progress for the developing world. Since graduating from Calvin, Brad has been excited to follow the significant increase of overseas programs and majors that can provide students with more semester experiences in the developing, non-Western world. This scholarship is intended to encourage students who wish to participate in non-Western semester abroad programs by assisting with the incremental expenses associated with travel and additional activities abroad not normally covered by Calvin tuition.

Basic criteria:

  • entering sophomore or junior year, but preference may be given to students going into their junior year
  • cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • participating in an off-campus semester program in a non-Western nation (e.g. not in Western Europe, Japan, Australia or New Zealand). Interims abroad do not qualify.
  • financial need is not required

Renewal criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
