Kenneth J. Van Spronsen Memorial Business Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Kenneth J. Van Spronsen by his wife, family, and friends. Ken, a 1989 graduate of Calvin, was ambitiously pursuing a business career when he was tragically killed in an automobile accident in October 1992.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 2.70 or higher
• pursuing a business major or a group major with an emphasis in business
• exhibit initiative in pursuing experience related to their major through activities such as an internship, part-time job, summer jobs, and/or extra-curricular activities
• a non-Michigan resident is preferred
• financial need is considered

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
