James and Arthea DeBoer Arts and Media Scholarship

James and Arthea DeBoer had a deep respect for Calvin College, both for the education their daughter Beverly received as a student, and for a close friendship with an English department faculty member. This scholarship gives students from Timothy Christian High School or Holland Christian High School the opportunity to attend Calvin University and develop their gifts for media and the arts.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• art major or one of the following communication arts and sciences media-related majors: film and media studies, media production or digital communication
• graduate of Timothy Christian High School in Elmhurst, IL or Holland Christian High School in Holland, MI
• financial need is not required

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
