Jacob and Jennie Tuinstra Scholarship

Ms. Doris Tuinstra of Grand Rapids, MI, established this scholarship to honor her parents, Jacob and Jennie Tuinstra. Ms. Tuinstra was an active member of the business community in Grand Rapids for many years. This scholarship was established to encourage good students, especially women, to pursue careers in business.

Basic criteria:

• entering junior or senior year
• planning to pursue a career in business. This includes business majors, social science group majors with a business emphasis, mathematics/business group majors with a business emphasis, and those pursuing a B.S. in Accountancy
• financial need is considered
• preference will be given to students with an interest in management and personnel

Renewal criteria: Students who wish to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
